From serving on committees for developmental organizations within our industry, mentoring young women who are interested in finance at local Indiana high schools, to weekly “Jeans Day” monetary donations (and more!), the charitable framework at CSi Advisory Services reaches many facets of our industry, local, and even global communities.
A longstanding component of our well-established philanthropy model is the annual CSi Service Day. This dedicated day of service gives our team an opportunity to put a pause on their tasks, get out of the office, and roll up their sleeves to participate in hands-on service.
On November 17th CSi’s 2020 Service Day was spent at Gleaner’s Food Bank of Indiana, one of the leading organizations involved in fighting hunger in Indiana. Gleaner’s offers a no-contact, drive-thru distribution option so that families can receive fresh food while still limiting direct exposure.
Our CSi team was split into three groups. When cars entered the warehouse, they were greeted by Erinn and Kimberly at Stop #1, who placed a box of fresh produce in the car.
At Stop #2, David, Roger, Mitch and Joe placed potatoes, grapes, squash, apples and oranges into the car.
Finally, at Stop #3, Bri, Kristi, Kelli and Josh added bread, cheese, chips and meat.
At the end of CSi’s volunteer shift, our team and other fellow volunteers helped over 1,900 families receive food. Gleaner’s staff shared that due to our team’s efficiency, they were able to serve many more Indiana families than the 1,400 they typically average.
A day of on-site volunteering has a powerful effect on our staff; always leaving us feeling re-centered and renewed in our commitment to give back to our Indiana community. In a year as challenging as 2020, we know the demand for assistance is higher than ever before. With that in mind, we continue to look for and develop new ways in which CSi Advisory Services can do our part for the people, places and organizations that make up our beloved community.
